God’s Design

A short but important reminder.

God doesn't promise that bad things won't happen.  Humans do have free-will after all.  He does promise to be there.  He promises to care.  He promises justice; on His terms, in His time.  He promises sovereignty, that we don't get to see the whole picture.  He promises we're loved beyond measure and regardless of our pasts.  He promises we're never alone.  He'll grieve with you, if you let Him.  He promises that you're chosen, that you're redeemed.  When he looks at you, He sees you white as snow, clean.  He sees you whole.

God doesn't find joy in our pain.  Part of why trauma comes out so violently is because we're made to move toward wholeness.  He wants us on the side of healing and wholeness.  That's the design.
